Lollapalooza
Charlie Munger used the term 'Lollapalooza effect' to describe a situation in which multiple factors align in the same direction. The resulting momentum is much greater than the sum of its individual parts.
There are many factors that help you keep a positive Lollapalooza effect alive.
Some examples:
Stay simple. There's a constant push for complexity. Simple systems are much much easier to maintain. Draw boxes where others draw sheep.
Take massive action. A single piglet strolling through the forest doesn't change much. A herd of boars stampeding through is another matter. In other words, hit the earth like a comet.
Speed. If you outrun your competition, they cannot cause you problems. Be as fast as you can.
Know the details. To take an informed bold decision, you need to be in the details.
Be proactive. A person that, by default, takes initiative is, by default, ahead of those who don't.
Embrace losses. Take an indirect route and build a positional advantage.
